Shape the Council You Want!

Comox Voter's Creative Sign Post
2026-2030ComoxCouncil.jpg

Did you know you can vote for up to six council candidates?

Most voters don't. Like many people, I used to pick one or two candidates I trusted and leave it there. But you can do more than that. You can choose six people to represent you, and every vote you leave unused is a seat decided by someone else.

This election, you can make all six count. Four new candidates, myself included, offer solid résumés, proven experience and valuable skills. We bring fresh perspectives and creative solutions for complex times.

The next council will decide how Comox stewards what we value, where we place the Province's mandated growth, and how residents and neighbourhoods are brought into the process. Who sits at the Council table for the next four years matters more than ever.

Comox is at crossroads. Vote for what you love about living here!

This is why I'm asking you to consider a different way of voting this time, and to seriously consider voting for all six of us. You hold six votes. That's real power. You can use all of it to build the council Comox needs for good governance.

The choice is yours. Think about what kind of council you want, and if it works for you, use your full say in building it.

I believe our community deserves a good governance council, one that offers:

  • Active listening. Councillors who hear in residents in a meaningful way, before they decide on their vote.

  • Engaged community conversation. Real dialogue, not just a box-checking consultation.

  • Balanced decisions. Weighing growth, with infrastructure limitations, neighbourhood livability, and fiscal responsibility.

  • Respectful debate. Constructive conversations, with different perspectives, finding shared priorities, with respect. Keeping how our decisions live on the ground, in our neighbourhoods.

Continuity is in place. Mayor Minions, acclaimed to a second term after three terms on council, brings steady, experienced leadership. Now we need an entire council that shares that commitment to good process and governance.

Experience matters. Councillors Kerr and Meilleur voted against the OCP because they believed residents deserved more conversation before such a long-term decision. They put community voices first. This is a shared priority with the 4 new candidates.

Your 6 votes can build that council, one that works for this entire town.

And whoever you choose, thank you for voting. Last election, Comox had its lowest turnout, so simply showing up matters. I appreciate everyone who takes the time to make their voice heard.

Our Neighbourhoods. Our Comox.
